ARIS Internet Security/Privacy Policy                              Last Modified:  January 3, 2011

This section of the ARIS website is also governed by the ARIS Website section on Legal Notices, Terms and Conditions.   Please additionally review that section of the ARIS website.   As used in this section of the ARIS website, the terms “you” and its possessive forms such as “your” mean any visitor to or user of this website.

ARIS is committed to protecting your privacy and the confidentiality of your ATPI® transactions.   ARIS employs leading technologies and internal information access controls to make your use of the ARIS website safe and your information secure.

Security

Secure Client Portal

ARIS permits on-line policy application, underwriting and policy issuance processes by means of a secure client portal of the ARIS website.   When you register to use the secure client portal of the ARIS website, you will be able to access secure internal locations of the ARIS website and ARIS’ internal technology systems to view and manage your ATPI® transaction information.

1.         Access Codes

When you register to use the secure client portal area, you will be asked to create a “User ID” and “Password,” for your use each time you log on to this area of the ARIS website.   You are responsible to safeguard and not to disclose to others your user identification and password information.

2.           Data Encryption

The secure client portal of the ARIS website requires the use of secure browsers.   Secure browsers allow you to communicate within the secure client portal of the ARIS website in a protected session by encrypting information which flows between you and this area.   To verify that your session is secure, look to see “ https: instead of   http: ” in the URL address line, and a secure symbol (for example, closed padlock or key) on the status bar of your browser located on the lower part of the screen, when you are logged on to the secure client portal aof the ARIS website.

For the secure client portal of the ARIS website, ARIS also employs and requires you to employ a browser having 128-bit Secured Socket Layer (SSL) encryption.   This level of encryption is the highest, current commercial standard for data encryption over the Internet compared to 40-bit SSL encryption, the level of encryption utilized by many ordinary browsers.

3.           Timeouts

If you suspend your Internet activity for more than thirty minutes once you access the secure client portal area of the ARIS website, an interruption to this area of the website will occur, requiring you to re-log onto the secure client portal area of the ARIS website.

4.           Firewalls

The ARIS website and ARIS’ technology systems employ multi-tiered firewalls to protect ARIS’ computer systems and your information from intrusion.

5.           Exit Protocols

The ARIS website incorporates internal exiting protocols for your protection.   When you complete your access to the secure client area of the ARIS website, you should exit via the “Log Out” icon in order to prevent unauthorized access to your information.

6.           Access You Give to Your Designated Representatives

The secure client portal of the ARIS website allows you to grant to your designated representatives the ability to see all or designated portions of your transaction information during the ATPI® application, underwriting and policy issuance processes.   You can authorize ARIS to grant this access, or to terminate or modify the scope of previously granted access (subsequently “Access Instructions”) by entering your request in the “Access Instructions” tab within your secure client portal.   Upon giving ARIS your Access Instructions, ARIS will grant your designated representatives access to your designated transaction information via the secure client portal of the ARIS website with a separate user identification and password.

ARIS will act on your Access Instructions as promptly as is commercially practicable and generally within 24 hours of receipt, when you communicate your Access Instructions in the manner specified above, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (Regular Business Hours), U.S. Mountain Standard Time, Monday through Friday (U.S. federal holidays excepted) (“Regular Business Day”).   You acknowledge and agree that ARIS does not warrant or guarantee a specific time frame within which ARIS can or will act on your Access Instructions.   You should assume a minimum 24-hour lead-time following communicating your Access Instructions during Regular Business Hours on a Regular Business Day (or a minimum of 24 hours after the time you give us your Access Instruction as applied to the first Regular Business Day following Access Instructions communicated to ARIS on a Saturday, Sunday or U.S. federal holiday) for ARIS to act on your Access Instructions.   You agree that ARIS will not be held liable to you or any other party for any delay of ARIS in acting on your Access Instructions, any delay in your ability to communicate an Access Instruction to ARIS or in the ability (or inability) of others to access your transaction information in accordance with your Access Instructions, due to hardware or software overloads, other failures within ARIS’ technology system, within your computer system, or within external communication systems on which ARIS’ system or your system is dependent, or for other reasons, and that the manner and scope by which warranty is disclaimed and liability is limited under the ARIS Website Legal Notices, Terms and Conditions Terms section of this website applicable to general use of this website shall equally apply to your Access Instructions.

7.           Access Tracking

All access to the secure client portal of the ARIS website is automatically tracked, monitored and recorded.
